World Health Day – April 7th
Every year the WHO run a themed campaign to mark World Health Day. This year’s theme is ‘Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere’. It offers the opportunity to communicate the importance of justice in healthcare services, not only for the health of individuals, but also for the health of economies and society at large. CAM Providers can do their bit to ensure sustainability of services by lobbying for greater government support. CAM Therapies are fast becoming reliable tools to help prevent and support chronic health conditions. They should be available to all socio-economic demography, irrespective of financial status. Consumer health will benefit more if CAM therapies are offered through the public health system. ‘The Australian Report’ is an example of fighting adversity and standing up against those who try to discredit the CAM sector. Please use World Health Day on April 7th as an opportunity to offer hope to people everywhere that a healthcare utopia may one day be possible.
