Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 13-19th May 2019. This year’s theme is body image. This topic is relevant to everyone. It spans across gender, age sexuality and ethnicity. Body image can have a profound effect on mental and physical health. Mental Health Awareness Week aims to ignite conversation about the relationship between the body and the mind. A holistic view towards the body/mind connection can help to prevent mental health problems. Another key goal of Mental Health Awareness Week is to share research on the topic of mental health and it’s impact on our overall health status.
