A review article published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine investigates the use of the spice, curcumin as a a natural anti-inflammatory agent. Several experimental and pharmacologic trials have demonstrated its efficacy. There has been a significant increase in the number of clinical trials testing the efficacy of curcumin in treating a variety of inflammatory conditions.
