Data published in the Netherlands, based on research led by Dr Erik W Baars from the University of Applied Sciences Leiden, shows that patients who attended doctors who recommended CAM therapies in addition to conventional medicine had reduced overall costs slightly in excess of 10% over those who utilised conventional medicine alone.
