Depression – may worsen with antidepressants

A recent review by reserchers at the University of Louisville School of Medicine have seen that long term use of antidepressant drugs can cause what’s called ‘Tardive Dysphoria’, which is depression actually brought on by antipsychotic drugs. The researchers found that depressed patients often had positive responses to the drugs initially, but quickly became treatment resistant. This was followed by long-term high doses of antipsychotic medications which was seen to worsen depression. Read More
